Loved.

Can I gush a little?!

Well, why thank you! {But... I probably would have anyways, being that this is my blog and all.} ;)

My husband is super amazing. I could go on and on for days about all that he is and does.

But lately he has seemed to take it to a whole other level!! I have been showered with more love on top of all that he already gave me before!!

This year for Valentines Day I was surprised with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers delivered to my house! I have received many flowers over the years from hubby, but never delivered! It made me blush a little. :)

But it was even more special because he has been working like a mad man! He is not only working his full time {regular} job but he is also working for himself as well! He was doing so many side jobs {finishing basements} that he figured he should probably be legit and start his own company, get insured, etc. And he has had job after job come to him! One job leads to a referral and that leads to another. He even got to hire someone to help him for the fist time, he was so busy! So he works for his own little company after getting off work, and on the weekends. It is tiring and I miss him... but we have big BIG dreams and goals, and we are committed to this schedule for a time so we can reach them.

So the fact that he took the time to order me flowers made me feel like the most loved girl in all the world!

But then the next day I got another delivery!!

Chocolate covered strawberries!! Ok... now I really felt spoiled!

Then on Valentine's Day we left for a little 4 day road trip to Utah and had a blast.

On Friday of that week after coming home, I was informed that I needed to be ready at 6pm for a date. What?! Wait. Our scheduled date night was for Saturday... are his days mixed up?!

Nope! He had two date nights planned in a row!

We dropped the kiddos off and drove away for my surprise date.

Oh... we should add here that Kyle does not like planning dates! So this was big that the whole thing was planned by him. :)

His first stop was a cute little coffee shop. The plan was to get coffee here and hop next door to my fave cupcake shop and enjoy coffee and cupcakes before dinner. Yes, before dinner!!! That is like my unspoken life motto. Dessert before every meal, and then again after. Yes please!

I loved these chairs at the coffee shop. They were nestled in a corner around a little side table. I want chairs in every nook and corner of my house! So charming and cozy.

So we enjoyed coffee and conversation as we waited for our dinner reservations.

After an hour or so we walked to this cute little wine bar and restaurant named Vines.

I loved the atmosphere and the wine was redic!

The food was also really really good! We were both very impressed.

And I am obsessed with their salad bowls! I searched all over the internet yesterday trying to track some down!

Their tables were made out of wine corks. Super fun.

Then on Saturday night we got to go out again!

Our favorite restaurant in Denver {Watercourse Foods} has a sister restaurant {City, O' City} that we have been wanting to try for a long time. We have even tried on several occasions to eat there and have quite the stories to tell from those nights....

We stopped for coffee before heading up to Denver. Love me some coffee. :) I have stopped drinking it in the mornings {doing herbal tea instead} so it is a treat now!

I love.love.LOVED the restaurant. I love a place that has character and "atmosphere". I could of people watched for hours as well. :) I think Kyle was the only male without a fedora and handlebar mustache! Haha!! This place is fun and funky and is filled with such unique people.

We had the best time! We ate our dinner at their community table {we named it the "speed dating table"!} and enjoyed some delicious grub.

Amazing lights!!

We started with their infamous Seitan Wings {aka vegan buffalo wings} these are also on the menu at Watercourse and are a favorite of ours, and had their Shishito Peppers as well: grilled or tempura battered peppers, with garlic, sesame dressing and sweet soy. One word: YUM!!

Kyle had the Udon Noodle Bowl: mushrooms, bok choy, shallots, thai basil and fresh noodles in a carrot, ginger broth, with daikon, pickled carrot, micro greens and grilled tofu.

It was soooooo good!

I had their W.O.W {waffle of the week} This weeks was the Pineapple Upside Down Cake Waffle: A vegan - gluten free waffle with grilled pineapple, spiced rum pineapple sauce and amarana cherries.

Holy deliciousness! I couldn't even eat it all! The waffle was huge... and amazing!

I love getting to take time out of our busy lives to spend together! And I love even more that my husband goes above and beyond to make me feel number one. No matter how busy or tired he may be. :)

Gushing is over now.
